Reset iPad
If you want to reset iPad back to the default factory settings before reselling it or if you wish to reset your iPad due to a malfunction or freeze:

To Reset All Settings: This will reset all preferences and settings. Actual data like calendars, media, and contacts are not deleted. Choose General > Reset, then tap Reset All Settings.
To Erase All Content and Settings: This resets all settings to their original values and erases all your information and media. Choose General > Reset, then tap “Erase All Content and Settings.
If you simply like to reset the Home screen layout to the default setting, choose General > Reset, then tap Reset Home Screen Layout.
